How do I create a basic Mural account and log in?

Mural is a digital collaborative whiteboarding tool. It can be used for teaching, both synchronously and asynchronously, as well as an in-person, hybrid or fully online environment.

NOTE: This workspace will only be the basic account with 3 free whiteboards (aka "murals").

To create your free Mural workspace:

In a web browser, go to: https://www.mural.co/

Click the "Sign up, free forever" button in the upper right corner of the Mural home page

Name your workspace.  Your workspace will be visible to the Tufts University community, however they will need to permission to enter your workspace.

NOTE: We do not recommend inviting other Mural members to your personal workspace.

Instead, to collaborate with others, invite them to specific rooms or murals within your workspace.

If you are creating a team workspace, invite members who you want to be able to create or delete murals within this workspace, not just edit them.

Select a Team and a Role

Set your Team to "Education faculty / administration" and Role to "Professor / Teacher / Instructor" to have access to curated templates on your homepage relevant to how you may use Mural.

Note: You can change these options at anytime.
