How can I take notes when using Zoom?
There are a few different ways can take notes when using Zoom—
These will work best with a laptop or desktop computer which has more screen space than a mobile device.
Option 1: Have a Zoom window and a note-taking app window open side-by-side
You can position the note-taking app one one side of the screen, and the Zoom chat window on the other.

On your laptop screen or desktop computer monitor, you can position the Zoom window to one side of the screen, and position a note-taking app on the other side. This way you can see both apps at the same time, and easily click back and forth between the two.
Option 2: Have two monitors or two devices available
If you have two monitors connected to your computer, you can position the Zoom window on one of them, and your note-taking app window on the other. Alternately, if you have two devices available, such as a laptop and phone (or laptop and tablet), you can run Zoom on one, and the note-taking app on the other.
Option 3: Use a keyboard command to switch between apps
If you prefer to keep the Zoom app and your note-taking app full screen, keyboard shortcuts allow you to quickly switch back-and-forth between the two.
On a Windows computer use the Alt + Tab keys
On a Mac use the Command + Tab keys
