Add Playlab.ai App to a Canvas Page

Adding a link to your Canvas course with these instructions will allow your students to be automatically logged into PlayLab. When students are logged into PlayLab, the following features are enabled:

  1. Students are identified in Chat History on the Activity Tab
  2. The memory feature can be enabled (read more about memory)
  3. Students have the option to input a personal profile to customize PlayLab outputs

This is the only approved way for your students to log into PlayLab. Do not add students to the PlayLab.ai website. Asking students to create local passwords on PlayLab is not approved by our information security team.

Click "Publish and Share"

Change the Audience to "Tufts University"

NOTE: If you want to use the Direct link feature, you should publish your app to 'Public" so that anyone can access the app.

Publishing to 'Tufts University" and then creating a public link will NOT work. Using the direct link will not log students into their Tufts University accounts, and they will not be able to access your app if you choose Tufts University.

In Canvas Open Rich Text editor

Click Plug In Icon

If you do not see PlayLab.ai in the dropdown, choose "View All."

Choose PlayLab.ai

Find Your App and Add it

The text of the link will be the App description. This may be more verbose than you want. To change the text, you can:

  1. While still in edit mode on the text box
  2. Click inside the link
  3. Choose Link Options from the pop-up
  4. Change the text to whatever you want
