How do I record a video and embed it in a Discussion post?

The Upload/Record Media tool in the Rich Content Editor does not support captions for accessibility. If possible, we recommend using My Media/Media Gallery to record and upload video, which will be automatically captioned in accordance with the Tufts captioning policy.

Go to Discussions

Click on the name of the Discussion

Click on Reply

Place your cursor inside the text box, click on the "Record Upload Media" icon, and select "Upload/Record Media"

If your display is narrow, you might instead see a "More" icon (3 vertical dots) at the end of the toolbar. Click on the More icon to see the "Record/Upload Media" icon.

Click on the "Record" tab

Make sure you have the correct microphone and webcam selected, then click "Start Recording"

When you are finished recording, click "Finish"

This displays a preview of the recording. Click the Play arrow to preview; click "Start Over" if you want to redo the recording.

When complete, click "Save"

Click "Post Reply"
