How do I use the Customizable Learner Dashboard?
Students now have the option to use a personalized dashboard in Canvas with widgets that track progress.
This first version of the customizable dashboard is available to users who have a student role and no other roles in Canvas. If you have an additional role, like TA, you will not be able to use the customizable dashboard at this time.
To enable the feature, click the "Switch to new dashboard" button.
The new dashboard view will appear. If the new dashboard does not appear, it may be because you have a non-student role in Canvas. The new dashboard is not available to users with TA, Instructor, Designer, or Admin roles, even if the user is also a Student in a course.
To change the appearance and order of widgets on your dashboard, click the "Customize dashboard" button.
To delete a widget, click the trash can icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
To move an existing widget, click on the handle (two vertical columns of dots) and drag the widget to a new area.
To add a new widget, click + Add Widget in the area where you want the widget to appear.
Add a widget by clicking the + Add button where available.
To see tiles for your courses, click the Courses tab.
