How do I add Verity proctoring to a Quiz in Canvas?

In the Canvas course click on the title of the quiz

Click "Edit"

Scroll down in the Quiz settings to the Quiz Restrictions section

Check the "YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform" checkbox and click "Configure Settings"

Choose the Verity settings appropriate to the exam

NOTE: Verity has a variety of settings you may or may not want to use with your exam. For setting-by-setting descriptions and recommendations of which options to use see:

Which Verity settings should I use?

When you are done configuring the settings, click "Save as Profile". This saves the settings configuration so you can re-use it later

Give the settings profile a name, and click "Save"

A message will confirm your settings profile has been saved

Click "Apply" to apply those settings to this particular exam

A message will confirm that your settings have been applied

IMPORTANT: Scroll to the bottom of the Quiz settings page and click "Save"

NOTE: You must click "Save" at the bottom of the Quiz details page in Canvas to save the Verity settings.

To confirm that the Verity settings have been applied and saved, click "Quizzes" in the Canvas course and look for the exam. You will see that "(YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring)" has been appended to the title of the exam.

NOTE: If the title of the exam has not been modified to include the phrase: "(YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring)", then the Verity settings have not been saved.   Repeat the steps in this guide to generate and save them.
