How do I set up a Verity practice quiz for my students?
Before you use Verity for proctoring a real exam in Canvas, we strongly recommend that you have your students take a practice quiz with the Verity tool. This will allow them to install, authenticate, and become familiar with the tool well before they take a real exam.
The instructions below step you through setting up a Verity practice quiz.
In Chrome, log into Canvas and go to the course. Click "YuJa Verity" in the white menu on the left

and
On the YuJa Verity page click "Lockdown App"
At the top of the Lockdown App screen click "Lockdown Assessments"
In the Lockdown Assessments tab click "Create Practice Assessment"
You may see a message that the assessment is being created
A new tab will open in the browser asking you for access. Click "Authorize"
NOTE: if you don't see this "Authorize" screen, return to the "Lockdown Assessments" tab in the YuJa Verity page, and click "Create Practice Assessment" again.
After you click "Authorize" the browser tab will close and you'll be back in Canvas. Click "Create Practice Assessment" again.
A message will indicate that the assessment is being created
Then a message will indicate that the assessment was successfully created
To confirm, go to the Quizzes tool and look for a quiz called "YuJa Verity Practice Quiz (YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring)"
