Which courses get evaluated?
The Blue course evaluation system is fed by SIS. If you need to turn on (or off) an evaluation, or change the instructor names, please contact the registrar to have your data corrected in SIS. Once the update is made there, the data will flow overnight to Blue. A course evaluation form will not be generated for a course that does not have at least one instructor attached in SIS.
A course must be designated in SIS as an evaluated course. In some schools, certain types of courses are not typically designated for evaluation (seminars, labs, recitations, etc.), but you may request an override in order to have the course evaluated. To do so, you would reach out to your department admin or registrar via [email protected] and ask them to set the 'Override Component LMS/EVAL' flag on the sections in SIS, as well as check the box for “Online Course Evaluation“. The update in SIS will travel to the Blue course evaluation system overnight.
If the course evaluation period opens and the instructor does not receive an invitation to monitor response rates for the course (or an invitation to customize forms, for schools that do so, such as AS&E and Fletcher), then the course is not being evaluated. Reach out to a dept admin or registrar immediately to have this corrected.
