Are my responses confidential?
All responses submitted to the Course Evaluations system are confidential. Instructors cannot identify which submissions belong to which students. Students are required to log in to the system for the sole purpose of accessing the appropriate evaluations for their associated courses.
To further protect student confidentiality, results from small classes are not shared with the instructors in some schools. For AS&E, a minimum of 4 student responses is required in order for a report to be published. For GSBS, a minimum of 3 student responses is required in order for a report to be published. Response data, however, will be kept in the system, grouped along with feedback for other courses in the same subject, and included in school analytics.
Summaries of the evaluations for a given course are made available to each instructor and to the school/program. If a course has multiple instructors, they can only see instructor evaluations that apply to themselves. Results are not shared with the instructors until after grades are posted. Instructors know who was invited to the survey, and how many students responded, but instructors do not know which students responded.
For schools that process a grade hold, the system applies the hold based on if the student submitted all of their forms. This information is not shared with instructors.
