OASIS calendar vs. Canvas Calendar

Canvas Calendar

NOTE: only the Vet school uses the Oasis and Canvas calendars as described in this article. If you are at the Medical School or Dental School you will use Oasis to check your schedule.

The Canvas Calendar will include all event/lecture dates, and as any due dates that have been set in your courses. You can also click on "Week" or "Month" or "Agenda" to get different views. You can access the Canvas Calendar from the far left menu bar in canvas.

Below is an example of VET-325 - Clinical Dermatology - month view (calendar format). The first event (8/26 at 8am) is clicked to show details.

Note: Students will only see events from courses that are published while teachers will see events for all courses in which they are enrolled.

Oasis Calendar

The Oasis calendar will allow you to access the full schedule for all three preclinical years. This calendar can be accessed from within most Vet school courses by clicking the OASIS link in each course.

In OASIS, students, staff and instructors can see event and lecture calendars for the entire curriculum across all three years.

Once in OASIS, click on the Calendar link in the system menu.

Note: Students can see their schedule by clicking my "Show my events" on the left. Instructors and students can see an entire semester of courses, for all three Pre-clinical years, by click  "Show all events" and then selecting the desired check boxes.
