How to Track Attendance at TUSM after Jan 2025

The way students track their own attendance has changed as of January 2025. The new tool is labeled "View your Attendance." Read more below. You will continue to use the "Requirements Checklist" for all attendance before 2025. 

NOTE: The new "View Your Attendance" feature shows dates from the fall of 2024. Disregard any fall 2024 dates in this view.

Click on "View your Attendance"

You can access your attendance when you are in the calendar view (the Oasis home page for most students).

Review the list of events and your attendance status

Disregard any dates before 2025 in this list.

Here is a list of Attendance Status

Status Entry:      What It's Used For
Attended:  You successfully scanned the QR code within 50 minutes of the start of class/lab.
Absent: You did not log in with Attendance QR code durring class.
Excused:  Absence is excused per the TUSM Attendance Policy.
Excused for personal reasons: Absence is excused for personal reasons per the TUSM Attendance Policy
Unexcused: Absence is unexcused per the TUSM Attendance Policy.
Unexcused-no penalty: Absence is unexcused per the TUSM Attendance Policy but there were extenuating circumstances that you discussed with the OSA.
Late: You successfully scanned the QR code but was not within 15 minutes of the start of class/lab. 
Late–no penalty: You successfully scanned the QR code but was not within 15 minutes of the start of class/lab but there were extenuating circumstances that you discussed with the OSA.
 N/a:   This event is not applicable to you.
