How do I create and access personal whiteboard templates in Zoom?
Zoom Online Whiteboards allows faculty to create an activity and save that as an easily accessible and applied template to new or existing whiteboards.
NOTE: Students cannot access these templates. You can add the template and share the whiteboard with students but they cannot apply the template to their own whiteboards.
Open a Zoom Whiteboard and Create Your Activity
You can either create an activity from scratch or use a template provided by Zoom and make changes to the template to best fit your needs.
Templates are created by taking all the content in a singular page. Ensure that only the content you want in the template is on the individual page.
Click 'Hamburger' Settings icon on the top-left tool bar
Select Whiteboard then 'Save page as template'
Name and Save your template
You can choose to add a description as well as add category tags to your templates. This can be useful if you plan to share your template with colleagues.
Accessing your templates
From the left hand tool bar select templates
Select 'My Templates'
Click the template you want to apply
Click Use template
NOTE: Templates will apply to the center of your view within a whiteboard. Ensure you have blank Whiteboarding space before applying a template.
