How do I embed a video from My Media in a Canvas "Page" and then create a link to the Page in a Module?
Instructors can embed a My Media video in any Canvas Page and create a link to that Page in a Canvas Module.
Log into Canvas and navigate to a course site
Click Pages
Note: This example describes embedding a My Media video in a Canvas Page text box. However, you can embed a My Media video in any type of Canvas text box (Example: Announcements, Pages, Syllabus, Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions)
Click Add (+) Page
Note: If the Add Page button is not displayed, click "View All Pages" first.
Title the Page, then click inside the text box to position your cursor where you want to embed the video.
Click the "Apps" icon (looks like a plug).
This displays the Select App Panel.
NOTE: Depending on your screen size, you may have to first click on the "More" icon (3 vertical dots), then click on the Apps icon
Click "Embed Kaltura Media"
This displays your My Media videos
Click on the "Select" button to the right of the video you want to embed in the text box.
This embeds the selected video in the Canvas text box.
Add any additional text you want then click "Save and Publish".
This saves and publishes the Canvas Page with the embedded video.
Click Modules
Click the "Add Item" (+) located to the right of the Module Name
From the "Add" dropdown box, select "Page"
This displays all of the "Pages" in the Canvas site.
Select the name of the Page with the embedded video
Click "Add Item"
This creates a link in the Module to the Page with the embedded video.
