How do I embed a YouTube video in a Canvas Page and link it in a Module?
All Canvas account holders (instructors / staff / students) can embed a YouTube video into any Canvas text box (Announcements / Pages / Syllabus / Assignments / Discussions / Quizzes). This example demonstrates embedding a YouTube video in a Canvas Page.
Go to Pages
Add a New Page
Place your cursor in the Canvas text box and click on the "App" icon (which looks like a small electrical plug)
Note: if your screen is reduced in size, you may have to click on "More" (3 vertical dots) to locate the "APP" icon
Click YouTube
This displays the YouTube Search panel
Enter your Search criteria and click Enter
The displays the results of the YouTube search
To the right of the YouTube Video you want to embed in the Page, click Embed
This embeds the video and returns the display to the Canvas text box.
Click "Save & Publish"
This saves the Canvas Page with the embedded video.
