How do I add a custom link to my course navigation?
Instructors can use the Redirect App to create a course site tool that links to a URL.
Go to Settings
Click the Apps tab
This displays the 3rd-party apps that can be incorporated into Canvas
In the filter box, enter “Redirect”
This displays the 3rd-party Redirect app.
Click the Redirect App
Click “Add App”
This displays the Add App form
In the Name box, enter the Name of the link, in the URL Redirect box, enter the web address
Checkmark “Force open in new tab” and checkmark “Show in course Navigation”
Click Add App
This will add a course navigation link to the URL. (Note: You will have to refresh the display to see the new course navigation link)
