How do I email a section?
Instructors and TAs can email a Canvas course site section.
Click Inbox

Click Compose a New Message Icon

This displays the compose message dialogue box
Under the Select a Course dropdown box, select the course containing the section

Click the "To" icon, then select Course Sections

This displays the names of the course site sections
Select the section you want to email

Note: Click on the arrow to the far right if you want to select individual students in the section
Select "All in Section" or "Students"

Enter the Subject, Message and then click Send

To receive a copy of the email at your email address, make sure your Account / Notifications are set to receive Conversations created by me
