How do I add multiple questions from an Item Bank to New Quizzes quiz?
Instructors can add all questions or a random set of questions from an Item Bank to a New Quizzes quiz.
When migrated this way, the questions display in random order. Depending on the number of items you include from your Item Bank, students may view different questions when taking their assessment.
Go to Quizzes
Open the quiz
Find the quiz you want to open. Click on the three vertical dots to view the options menu and select "Build."
Choose the Item Bank from which you would like to draw questions
NOTE: you will be able to select all of the questions or a random set of questions from the Item Bank
Click "+ All/Random"
Click the "X" to close the Item Bank and return to the Build page
Options for using the questions can be modified as follows:
By default, the assessment includes all items from the Item Bank [1] and each question will be worth one point [2]. To edit these settings, click the Edit (pencil) icon [3].
Edit the question usage settings
[1] To change the Item Bank click the Select the Destination Bank menu down arrow.
[2] To use all questions from the Item Bank, select the Use all questions option.
[3] To randomly select a specific number of questions, select the Randomly select questions option and enter an amount in [4] the Number of questions field.
[5] To adjust the points awarded per question, enter an amount in the Points per question field.
To save these settings, click Done.
