IgniteAI Search, formerly called Smart Search, allows users to search for content within a course site. IgniteAI Search uses semantic algorithms and AI to search across content pages, announcements, discussion prompts, and assignment descriptions. Here's how to search for content in a course site.

Some things to know about IgniteAI Search:

• IgniteAI only searches across the course site in which it is being used. It does not search across multiple course sites.
• Only users who are enrolled in a course site can use the search tool and see results.
• Canvas data, including course site content, is not logged, stored, or reused by the underlying AI model. Learn more about how the search tool uses AI.

IgniteAI Search is currently on in courses by default. To disable it, remove the tool from your course navigation menu.
